I realize that I pretty much left y'all hanging regarding John's interview in Richmond, but really, they started it. They told him that they would have a decision made by the end of last week, but he did not hear from them. So, at the beginning of this week, he made several attempts to contact both of the interviewers. They have not responded - at all. They are not even communicating with the recruiter who set John up with the company. With such poor business practices, I'm very glad he has not received an offer from them. I just wish we'd have known before the giant waste of time and money that was that interview.

I know this is frustrating and I might actually agree with you if we hadn't gone through something similar last fall.
The job Josh has now, he'd interviewed for a good month prior. They told him they'd make a decision in a week. He emailed and called several times without hearing back once that week was up. We gave up. Three weeks later they called him for a second interview and then hired him. And you know what? He LOVES this job and the company. The company is full of people who have been there for 20+ years and they treat their employees amazingly well.
I'm not defending the company, I'm just saying not to get bitter (I know it's hard after a long road of job hunting) or write off a company too soon. You never know what might happen next week...or the week after. Life throws you curveballs!
