Toddler television is a learning experience.

On Elmo's World this morning, Elmo interviewed a jacket (because his fish, Dorothy, asked him to). The jacket explained that she had sleeves and pockets. What goes in her pockets? Tissues and rocks.

Half of the things I saw as a daycare teacher were explained in one episode.

And the other half is probably only explained by television episodes that aren't appropriate for JJ to watch!

There is something so beautiful about the relationship between Elmo and Dorothy. And the fact that her name is Dorothy.

I'm enjoying the fact that so far my pre-schooler does not use his pockets. The day will come though that the rocks & tissues will be there!

We love the guy-but Elmo has nothing on Dora the Explorer or Go, Diego, Go. in our home. Thank goodness for Discovery/History etc. channels for a "real life" high-def transition to real nature and animals.
